EDWARD WESTON'S STUDIO December 15, 2008 Today, I had the opportunity to visit Kim and Gina Weston at their family home that belonged to Edward Weston, just South of Carmel. The home is much the same as it was when Edward lived there. His darkroom in still there, in its original form, right down to the egg timer that Edward used to measure his photo developing times. FLORENCE GRUERE AWARDED 1ST PRIZE AT SALON D'AUTOMNE IN PARIS October 30, 2008 Florence Gruere has been awarded a first prize at the 2008 Salon D'Automne in Paris. During the Salon's early years, established artists such as Pierre-Auguste Renoir threw their support behind the new exhibition and even Auguste Rodin displayed several drawings. Since its inception, the greats and future greats of the art world such as Paul Cézanne, Henri Matisse and Paul Gauguin and Pablo Picasso have been shown here.
